Hospice Volunteers Sharing The Journey

Helping Families with the Hardship

What it means to volunteer

Services for families and friends of patients who have died.

Hospice (Homecare) Volunteers endow the patient, family members and caregivers with companionship, respite and support. They assist with a broad range of tasks. From relieving a tired caregiver for a few hours to holding a patients hand while listening to their thoughts.

Volunteers must complete a comprehensive training program to learn about the hospice philosophy and develop skills suitable for a member of the hospice team.

Please call Zia Hospice if you are interested in becoming a Hospice volunteer or would like more information about our volunteer program. Isaac Monk, Volunteer Coordinator at Zia Hopsice is available at (505) 830-2978. Find out how you can make a difference and experience the many rewards of serving Hospice Patients and families.
