Helping Families with the Hardship

About the Foundation

New Mexicans have a long tradition of helping their neighbors, and the Memorial Foundation has become a way to deliver this help. Many thoughtful and generous individuals have memorialized their loved ones through the Foundation. Some have given $1,000.00 other $5.00, and collectively these gifts have provided:

  • Airline tickets for family members who were otherwise unable to be with parents during their final days.
  • Burial for veterans in the Santa Fe National Cemetery, and cremation for other patients who had no funds available.
  • A Zia Hospice Memorial tree at Tiguex park (Mountain and 19th Street)
  • Medications for indigent patients
  • Twice a year Memorial Services for families and friends of patients who have died.

The Memorial Foundation was established to ensure that critical patient and family needs are provided for those who otherwise could not afford the expense.

A memorial gift to Zia Hopsice Memorial Foundation can be a fitting tribute to those we have loved and wish to remember. Donations may also be made in honor of a loved one as a Birthday, anniversary, holiday or special occasion remembrance.
