History of Zia Hospice & Homecare

Zia Hospice, Inc. was founded in 2001 by two Registered Nurses who wanted to provide Hospice Care with an emphasis on “care”. Since then Zia Hospice has grown to a staff of over 30 dedicated professional who share the same vision as the originating team.

Meet our administrative staff

Sherry Williams, RN, President and CEO
Sherry brings with her 30 years of nursing, including Critical care, Homecare, and Hospice experience. Her attention to detail and passion for Holistic and complete patient care allow the Zia Hospice & Homecare team to “do hospice & homecare right”.

David C. Leech, DO, Co-Medical Director
Dr. Leech earned his degree of Doctor of Osteopathy while attending Kirksville Osteopathic School of Medicine. Dr. Leech is board certified in osteopathic medicine with the American Osteopathic Board of Family Practice. He has maintained his private practice since 1986 and will continue to serve those patients in addition to Zia Hospice & Homecare patients.
